Thank you for your interest in the Women's Bandura Ensemble of North America!
We seek bandurists:

ages 16 and older
-
able to play advanced repertoire with an ensemble and as a soloist (details listed below)

To audition:
1. Complete the form in the button below. Once completed, we will send further information and coordinate the rest of the audition process.
2. Prepare two pieces: one instrumental and one piece that includes singing and playing. This can either be submitted as a pre-recorded video or as a live audition.
3. Selected candidates will be contacted for a video call with WBENA leadership.

We welcome auditions from female bandurists aged 16 and over.

Successful candidates are already advanced bandura players (this includes playing both left and right hand together with singing, mastery of technical runs, ability to play with musicality, perform a 10 piece working repertoire).

Some knowledge of the Ukrainian language or the Cyrillic alphabet is considered an asset, as are prior ensemble experiences and past vocal instruction.

In addition, candidates should be able to travel throughout North America to attend rehearsals and concerts, and are encouraged to participate in bandura workshops.
